In conjunction with Netscape's signing tools, this certificate enables you to digitally sign software files that target the Netscape 4.x browsers for deployment, like Netscape plug-ins, applets, executables and other file types accepted by the Netscape browser.
Important: Netscape no longer offers the signing tools or support for older versions of the Netscape browser. This Digital ID is offered for those users who still provide tools for the legacy versions of Netscape. However, you must use Netscape 7.0 or later versions to enroll for the certificate.
